Thyme is a herb that happens to grow across Europe and especially a popular one in the Mediterranean. It has an aromatic smell with leaves that are a grey-green colour.
The most readily available thyme is that which is bought in the UK or that which is known as garden thyme. However the good thing is that both kinds of Thyme work great with Mediterranean foods.
So if we can eat Thyme, can guinea pigs eat it and if they can how much of it can they eat?

Lets take a look and find out but taking a look at its nutritional data, and as usual, in particular its calcium, fat, sugar, phosphorus, and acidic content.

As you can see, Thyme does contain a lot of calcium and a hint of fat.
However it does contain a lot of vitamin a and a huge amount of vitamin c which is fantastic for guinea pigs.
So guinea pigs can eat Thyme but not as often as once a day, twice a week should suffice due its calcium content. But its vitamin a and c content makes it a terrific food for guinea pigs to have.
