Ketchup is a fantastic food to have and is incredibly popular in the UK at least. We love it in our house, with myself and our 3 kids having it almost daily with our meals. In fact its only my wife who doesn’t like it.
So if, most of my family like it, can our guinea pigs eat ketchup, and if they can how much can they eat of it?
It seems a bit of daft question, but its not as daft as it seems.

Lets take a look at its nutritional data and find out a bit more about it.
In particular, we’re interested in its calcium, sugar, phosphorus, acid and fat content which is especially pertinent to guinea pigs.
A good amount of vitamin a and vitamin c would be a very good bonus as well.

As you can see it contains no phosphours, barely any fat, calcium or acid content. However, it is very sugary so that is definately the down poing.
It does contain a decent amount of vitamin a and vitamin c
Guinea pigs can eat ketchup, but not too much and sparingly. Once a month at most because of its sugar content. But they may not like it that much because of its bitter taste.
