Also known as Chinese broccoli or Chinese kale, Kai-lan is a leaf vegetable that has thick, flat, glossy, blue-green elves that have thick stems and tiny flower heads much like broccoli.
It is eaten in Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Cantonese cuisine and is often eaten stir fried, boiled, steamed and with ginger, oyster sauce, or garlic.

As you can see Kai-lan contains quite a lot of calcium and a hint of fat.
So guinea pigs can eat Kai-lan, but only once a week due it’s calcium content. It does also contain a very nice amount of vitamin c which is great as far as guinea pigs are concerned.
