Eggs are one of the world’s favourite foods with many different variations of it which are made throughout the world. Whether you like eggs boiled, fried, poached, or scrambled, they are certainly consumed in vast quantities.
So if we can eat them, can guinea pigs eat eggs?
Unfortunately, they can’t
Because guinea pigs are herbivores they cannot touch any dairy foods whatsoever.
This means that every kind of egg is off the menu for guinea pigs, they are simply not good for them to eat all.

They are better off sticking to hay and veggies which will give them the nutrients they need.
What about other egg related things?
Can guinea pigs eat egg cartons?
Yes they can, as long as there aren’t any eggs inside the cartons. Cardboard is fine for guinea pigs to chew one. Check out this post on it here.
Can guinea pigs eat egg shells?
No they are far too sharp for piggies to eat, stear clear of them.
