We love canned tomatoes in our house and they are great to eat with other ingredients and work well in other dishes such as spaghetti bolognaise or chilli.
So can guinea pigs eat canned tomatoes? We know that they can eat regular tomatoes but plum tomatoes are a different kind of tomato.
Thing with plum tomatoes is that they have been processed and a much of their natural goodness has been take. They do have more additives such as salt and are cooked and so are not so good for guinea pigs.
Because of the fact that guinea pigs can’t really eat canned tomatoes then they really shouldn’t be given to guinea pigs. There are better forms of tomatoes that guinea pigs can eat such as grape tomatoes.
